February Favorites! :)

So, eh. I got bored, had no homework, and i'm going to bed in about 2 hours.
I figured because of that i'd do a post now, because I know if I don't do one when I have the time, then I won't do one for the rest of the week because I have a lot going on this week.
Anyways, February Favorites!! :)
Not as many favorites this time, but enough. :))
Enjoy!
1. The Color Workshop Blush, Pressed Powder, and Bronzer Powder Palette
I never really used this because it came in one of those big $9.99 sets of like cheap-y makeup. I recently picked this up though and I use it every day now! It's really great for fast face makeup. I use the left light pink color as a highlight on my brow bone (when i'm not already wearing one), the right hot pink on my cheeks, and the bronzer around my face. It gives me a really great glow! :) (Not really sure what i'm supposed to use the silver for though, any ideas?)
2. MAC Hello Kitty Tinted Lip Conditioner in Popster
I carry this with me everyday now. It's also something i've re-discovered but I can put a light coat on for a really nice light pink flush and build it up for a really hot pink coral color. I love it for summer, and i've made a huge dent in it. It's really moisturizing too, i'm thinking about getting the regular not colored lip conditioner from MAC soon.
3. Model Co. Color Box Eyeshadow in Antiqua 02
Basically, this color is just really nice and versatile. It reminds me of NARS Albatross eyeshadow actually! I mostly use it as a highlight though.
4. Wet N' Wild Kohl Kajal Pencil Liner in White
I like this alot, I actually never use it on my waterline though. I use this in my inner corner and I sometimes use it as an all over eye base for when I wear wear shadows. :) It's really creamy and smooth. Only 99 cents! :))
5. NYC Brow/Eye Liner Pencil in Jet Black 921A
I use this on my upper and lower lash line now. It's really pigmented and creamy and only 93 cents. I also use this on the days when I don't wanna do a lot of makeup, I run this on my upper lash line and smudge it out then do the same on my lower.
6. Mary Kay Extra Emollient Night Cream
I did a review on this so check out that if you wanna know what I think about it.
7. Essence of Beauty Control Powder Brush
Super soft. Super soft. Super soft. Self explanatory.
8. Elf Studio Powder Brush
(See above)
Swatches:
Top Row (Left to Right): MAC HK Tinted Lip Conditioner in Popster, Wet N' Wild White Liner, NYC Black Liner, Model Co. Antiqua
Bottom Row: TCW Blush Palette swatched from left to right

Well that's it! Hope you enjoyed this! Sorry for the crappy photos btw, took these at night. Anyways, bye!

Poindexter Tutorial! Fun Pink, Orange, and Yellow Look! :)

I did this look a while ago when I thought about starting a youtube channel (which I didn't start haha).
It's just a really colorful, fun look and I'll tell you how I did it! :)
Gosh my eyebrows look soooo ungroomed.....-_-
ANYWAYS! :)
All the colors used came from my 'Profusion Glamifeye 36 Color Eyeshadows Palette' unless otherwise stated.
So....
1) I put eye primer on, you can use any brand that you prefer, I used a homemade one.
2) I put a hot pink cream shadow all over my lid up to my crease and blended out the harsh lines well.
3) Then I packed a hot pink eyeshadow all over my lid up to my crease, to make it really pigmented you can wet your brush first, I didn't though.
4) Then take a yellow color and blend it into your crease in to the pink a bit and also blend it upwards (if that makes sense, need be look at the photo). This should create a really light orange tint inbetween the yellow and the pink.
5) Now take a bright orange color and place it inbetween the two colors to brighten the orange tint.
6) Blend out all harsh lines.
7) Take a black eyeshadow color and blend it into the outer 'V' to give some depth to the look.
8) Blend out the harsh lines again.
9) Add a highlight to your brow bone. I used Model Co. Color Box Shadow in Antiqua.
10) Add a light white color (preferably with a pink undertone) to your inner corner.
11) Line your eyes and add mascara. I used Wet N' Wild Mega Liner in Black, NYC Brow/Liner Pencil in Jet Black and Wet N' Wild Mega Protein Mascara. :)
12) You're done! I'd pair this look up with a nice peach or orange blush and a nude lipstick. :)

Hope you enjoyed this, sorry for no step by step photos....-_-
Fun eye tutorial, Over & Out.

yourpoindexterkid.

Review: Mary Kay Extra Emollient Night Cream. :)

Okay, so first I wanna say, thanks to everyone that's following my blog now! :)
I was super surprised the other day because in one day my subscribers jumped from 4 to 6.
Erm, I never really thought i'd have even one, so that's nice.
Anyways...
Today I'm just doing a review.
I figured since I've done a review on 2 low end products I should do one on a somewhat high-end product.
This is a product I've been loving for winter and I'm definitely going to buy it again once I run out, because It's become a staple for me.
The Mary Kay Extra Emollient Night Cream:
This is a must for anyone with extremely dry skin.
Recently, I've been using a new skin care routine involving a really abrasive exfoliator (which does from the dead skin cells, but takes a toll on my skin) and my Stridex pads, which suck the moisture out of my face, but keeps acne away.
Because of this my face has been suffering, I've had extremely flaky and dry skin this winter, so I had to find something to fix it.
Well...I ran into this, it had been sitting in my desk for a while and I finally picked it up, and I love it again!
This orange tube came from the satin hands collection, but the actual one is pink and black and more product.
Anyways.
I'll just get down to business.
Price: ♥♥♥♥
I got mine for free, as a gift. But I'd definitely pay the full price. You only need a little product so that tube goes a long way for the small price.
Packaging: ♥♥
Plain, but easy enough. Not horrible. But not really eye-catching in either collection (permanent nor satin hands).
Product: ♥♥♥♥♥
OMG. Like I said earlier, holy grail product here. It's moisturizing and amazing.

Pros::
1) It moisturizes your face really well.
2) When paired along with exfoliating, your face feels like super soft!
3) A little product goes along way.
4) It's a great winter staple.
5) Only need to do like once a week (like a deep conditioning for your skin).
6) You can use it anywhere on your body (I use mine on my face though).
7) It has a really nice light citrus smell (like oranges or something).
8) Doesn't clog your pores.

Cons::
1) It has a weird gel consitency that makes it a little hard to rub in at first, you have to warm it up first.
2) It makes your face look EXTREMELY oily until it sinks in.
3) You have to give it some time to sink in, it really doesn't completely sink in for like 12 hours, so you basically have to put it on the day before (and hope no one runs into you).
4) I usually have to do mine on the weekends.
5) Definitely not for people with oily skin.

Well, personally none of the cons really affect me, because I usually do mine on the weekends and so it sinks in by the time I go somewhere the next day. Like I do mine at nights and it's sunk in by mid-day the next day.
It's really nice and your skin is really glowy and soft and beautiful once its sunk in. My flakiness literally disappeared. So yeah.

If you have a problem with dry skin then check it out!

P.S Sorry if you don't appreciate my cashpirate banner. Just getting the word out, because it's a really great site, and definitely not a scam as I have already recieved my 22.64 through paypal. So, definitely check it out! :) It's completely free to sign up and use the site, I haven't paid anything but i've earned 22.64 already! :))

Uhm. If you're skeptical about it, just know that the reason it's free and you still get paid, is because you take the survey or whatever and the people that sponser the survey, pay the cashpirate people money and the cashpirate people give you a percentage of the money they earned because you took the survey. So then they are paid and so are you! :)

What!? No Will Power!? First Vlog like Blog...not beauty. :)

(Warning, not really a beauty related post -- If you in fact did not read the title)
Okay, so i've officially decided I have no will power.
Like i'm one of those people that change styles and ideas so often that I can never really stick to one thing at a time.
Like...I completely stopped Project 10 Pan before it even began.
I've had so many blogs created and deleted, that it's a shock I've had this one for so long.
and...
You don't even wanna know, how many times i've tried to go on a health kick....
Well, I suppose I'm trying it again...hmm.
I seriously sorta laugh at myself, everytime I decide to try, because I know I'll just kick it again in about a week.
So yeah. I haven't touched Wii Fit in a while so I'm going to try that.
I'm going to also start packing a healthy lunch to eat.
I'm going to eat in moderation.
I'm going to drink more water.
I'm going to get my fair share of exercise.
I'm going to eat healthier meals during the day.
I also wanna say that to me, being healthy includes like every aspect of the body.
So, I would really like to try the Tresemme Thermal Recovery Shampoo and Conditioner
(which I've heard amazing things about) and the Healthy Sexy Hair Chocolate Soymilk Sulfate Free Shampoo and Conditioner to get my hair back.
Also, I've decided to stop using that trusty old flat iron that keeps calling me back. I straighten my hair like every day and my ends are horrible. I recently did japanese straightening on my hair (it was in my January favorites post) and my hair now air drys somewhat frizzy but only a little wavy with no product in it...so I figured I wanna find out a way to get away the frizz and keep the cute waves so that I don't have to try and straighten my hair all the time. NO MORE HEAT PRODUCTS ON MY HAIR. I've wanted long hair since I could remember and about 2 years ago, I chopped alot off. I just really want long hair, so the first step is getting healthy hair.
So...after healthy hair comes healthy skin.
The only thing that really works on my skin to keep away acne is Stridex, and I've started using the maximum version.
But, I really want to get in the habit of like a skincare routine, not specifically one that contains alot of products, but I really want to do the whole shabang (shuh-bang). I wanna find a good toner, exfoliator, weekly mask, cleanser, make up remover, and moisturizer. So if you have any ones that you really like let me know. :)
Of course then comes healthy body in general.
I know I talked about eating healthy and exercising up above...
But, when you eat healthy and you knock out some unhealthy foods or just meats or something to that effect, then you lose alot of needed vitamins, protein, iron, calcium, and alot of those healthy things that your body needs to function properly.
So, I really want to find some multivitamin pills (I've heard Women's One A Day is really good) and also some acai berry teas (organic preferably), I want to try the HempShake from Nutiva, and I wanna get some Omega 3 Fish Oil Pills.
And like, I have lots of stomach issues and such (I've gone to the doctor like a million times and all they've managed to do is give me 20 choices to what it could be, draw like 200 pints of blood, and yeah) and I've found that certain foods REALLY tear my stomach up, so I really want to knock milk (or atleast real milk, I wanna try soymilk and such) out of my diet, and like dairy products, which shouldn't be hard because I hate cheese and I don't drink alot of milk anyways.
And I want to kick chocolate and greasy foods out.
I tend to get really bad stomach pains when I eat anything like that, so we'll see if I stop if it makes me feel better.
The doctor did tell me I could me lactose intolerant and I figure this will tell me if I am or not. :)

I dunno how long this little kick of mine will last, but we'll see.
So...yeah.
Oh and I thought I would like update you guys every so often to let you know how I'm doing on it...and maybe some product reviews of what I try.
I don't want my blog to turn into Health Nutz online, but I figure if something is making me look and feeler better than it's technically beauty related.
If I do stick to this...and people start to like and request these posts, then I might make a separate blog for it...but as of right now I'm not.
I also figure...making posts will motivate me because then I won't wanna slack off because i'll want something
report back to you with. :)

yourpoindexterkid.
P.S. I would like to mention that all together i've made 12.37 on cash pirate....since I last talked to you guys...which was earlier today...I made 5.00 today alone. So yeah. I'm making money honey! :)
P.S.S. It's like 2:15 a.m. so If this post sounds loopy or has some mistakes forgive me...i'm running on hungry and tired right now.

Makeup Collection...Finally! :)

So...I've finally gotten around to doing a makeup collection post...yay! I've reorganized my room, taking out the original black desk organizer that held my makeup...it was getting to be too small...haha. So, yeah. Where I live we've been getting blizzards and snow like crazy. This entire week...Sunday through Saturday...we only went one day, and it was a 2 hour delay. So, yeah...i'm probably going to be stuck in my house for the next few days. I figured I'd make this post, so enough blabbering...let's get started. :)
Oh yeah...and anything with a "♥" beside it in parentheses means it is a favorite of mine. :)

Here's where I keep all my makeup:
